Tandom Metallurgical Group Ltd was formed in November 2008 to bring together AL Resources Ltd. and Integrali Ltd, under one trading name. Both AL Resources and Integrali Ltd were very successful trading companies, dealing in all grades of Ferrous and Non-Ferrous scraps. Both were formed several years earlier.
In August 2009, Chinook Sciences LLC a Scientific-Research Engineering company, responsible for the development of the RODECS 'environmentally friendly system' purchased a shareholding in the company.
Chinook Sciences LLC, a company with an extensive track record in industry - offers technology and equipment for metal, industrial gasses, and environmental industries. Two techologies the company offer are:
- RODECS, a patented gasification system for processing organic materials, as well as cleaning and removing organic components from metal scraps.
- Active Pyro system, a non-incineration system that transforms organic based material, including waste materials into useful energy or fuel.
Chinook RODECS plants operate in nine countries on four continents and can process a range of material from low-coated sheets and extrusions to heavily oil coated fine turnings.
In late 2009 Tandom acquired the assets and Congleton premises of FE Mottram Ltd - one of the largest Aluminium Ingot producers in the UK.
Combining the expertise and years of experience of these three companies, together with the five acre Congleton site, a near perfect platform to drive the business forward has been created. Tandom has both the knowledge and facilities to process most grades of material to exploit their full value and therfore enhance it's position as a market leader in the scrap sector.
